Designed for technicians, service advisors, and managers, it provides practical tools to improve consistency and communication in the shop. As the foundation for all other L1 Training courses, this session helps attendees build habits that lead to accurate, efficient diagnostics.

Advanced Application of Fundamental Electrical Theory (On-Demand Here) (Variations of the Class Taught Live – Check the Calendar Here)
This class bridges the gap between basic electrical knowledge and advanced diagnostic efficiency. It’s built to support all skill levels—offering a fast-track refresher for newer techs while reinforcing critical fundamentals for experienced diagnosticians. From scopes and test lights to thermal imaging and board-level inspection, you’ll learn how top mobile techs approach electrical issues. The course emphasizes wiring diagram mastery, smart tool usage, and testing strategies that drive faster, more accurate results.

J2534 Programming: Domestic Vehicles (Only Taught Live Currently – Check the Calendar Here) (Slated for Online Instruction Soon) (Older Combined J2534 Domestic & Asian Here)
This course covers everything needed to confidently perform J2534 programming on GM, Ford, and Chrysler vehicles. Whether you’re brand new to flashing or already experienced, you’ll gain practical knowledge, advanced techniques, and critical troubleshooting skills to handle real-world programming challenges. We’ll cover required hardware, software platforms, best practices, common pitfalls, and the limitations of J2534. The class also includes an overview of Right to Repair as it relates to module programming in the field.

J2534 Programming: Asian Vehicles (Only Taught Live Currently – Check the Calendar Here) (Slated for Online Instruction Soon) (Older Combined J2534 Domestic & Asian Here)
This course prepares technicians to successfully flash and troubleshoot modules on the most common Asian vehicles using the J2534 platform. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to expand your capabilities, this class delivers the tools, techniques, and insider knowledge to handle real-world programming jobs on Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Hyundai, and Kia. We’ll cover hardware and software requirements, best practices, platform limitations, and field-tested workarounds. You’ll also learn how Right to Repair laws impact Asian module programming in today’s aftermarket.

Introduction to Keys & Immobilizer Systems: Domestic & Asian (On-Demand Here) (Also Taught Live – Check the Calendar Here)
This course breaks down the complexity of modern vehicle security systems, giving technicians a solid foundation in how immobilizer systems work across Domestic and Asian manufacturers. You’ll learn how different OEMs implement security, how to approach diagnostics, and how to handle key cutting, cloning, and programming. We’ll also cover PIN retrieval, EEPROM basics, NASTF access, and the essential tools needed to get the job done—plus a look at current industry challenges.

Network Failures & Diagnostics (On-Demand Here) (Variations of the Class Taught Live – Check the Calendar Here)
This course demystifies vehicle communication systems and gives you the tools to diagnose even the most complex network issues. You’ll learn how networks are designed, how modules communicate, and how to interpret failures across multiple protocols. We cover CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, LIN, SENT and MOST bus systems in detail. The class builds a repeatable diagnostic process that simplifies network diagnosis and can be applied across a wide range of system faults—not just communication-related problems.

ADAS: Successful Calibrations & Troubleshooting (On-Demand Here) (Also Taught Live – Check the Calendar Here)
This course helps technicians build effective processes for successfully calibrating both static and dynamic ADAS systems. Designed for those new to ADAS as well as experienced techs, it covers sensor types and operation to establish a solid foundation. The class also dives into troubleshooting techniques, best practices, and common pitfalls to avoid during calibration procedures.

European Module Programming: BMW, VW/Audi, Volvo, JLR (On-Demand Here – Is Not Finished On the Website) (Also Taught Live – Check the Calendar Here)
This class prepares technicians to expand beyond Domestic and Asian vehicles by adding European module programming to their skillset. Covering BMW Group, VW/Audi, Volvo, and Jaguar/Land Rover, the course explores the tools, software platforms, and procedures required to navigate these OEMs’ unique systems. While not limited to J2534, the class focuses on practical, field-proven strategies to handle Euro programming with confidence. Attendees will also learn how to integrate these capabilities into an existing workflow built around Asian and Domestic vehicles.

Think Like the PCM: Advanced Scan Data Diagnostics (On-Demand Here – Is Not Finished On the Website) (Also Taught Live – Check the Calendar Here)
Effective diagnostics don’t come from finding a PID, they come from understanding how the PCM interprets all the data together. This class starts by establishing a repeatable diagnostic process that applies to any vehicle concern, creating a solid foundation for consistent, disciplined troubleshooting. From there, the focus shifts to scan data interpretation, teaching how the PCM evaluates sensor inputs, compares them to expected models, and uses that information to make decisions.Rather than chasing codes or isolated data points, attendees learn how to identify relevant PIDs, understand what “normal” actually looks like in context, and use scan data to develop diagnostic direction. The emphasis is on knowing why a data point matters, when it matters, and how it guides the next test. This course is designed to help technicians move from data observation to data-driven decision-making, reducing guesswork and improving accuracy on complex, modern vehicles.
